Summary – What is this activity about?
Chronic diseases affect a wide range of individuals and have an even wider range of symptoms.
In this assignment, you will conduct research on one chronic disease of your interest. Each of
you will be required to select a different chronic disease to maximize the variety in each
class. Possible topics will be provided by your instructor.
Objectives- What will I be able to do?
You will learn how to conduct research in the medical field on a particular chronic disease. This
paper/presentation will reinforce your understanding of many of the body systems and how they
work. In class, we discuss a number of systems of the human body and how they function. This
project will reinforce your understanding of the cellular mechanisms and bridge those with the
anatomy and physiology of the human body while discovering the particular effects of a chronic

can add a newspaper article, textbook, or internet to prepare your project.
