Each student will write a 2-3 page double spaced essay. The topic of the essay will be: An overview of the teachings of the Gospels on the person and work of Jesus. Each student will write a general summary of what the gospels as a whole teaches who Jesus is, what Jesus did, and what Jesus taught. Each student will also write at least a paragraph of what each gospel contributes to our understanding of the person, teaching, and/or work of Jesus. For example, “Matthew presents Jesus as…” Finally, each student will write 1 paragraph on how the early church fathers shared the Gospel with others in Acts and why we should share with others today.
The book used is The Lion and the Lamb: New Testament Essentials from the Cradle, the Cross and the Crown. If you use external sources, make sure to cite it. Do not copy or use any electronic tools to do the work because we will check everything and that will result in a 0.
