Instruction (PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY)
– The ideal length of the oral presentation is less than 10 minutes. It will contain 6~8 PPT slides except for the front slide and reference list slide.
– You can choose to record with or without your face. Ideally, it’s great if all of your group members participate in the presentation, but if not possible, your group can choose one or two presenters to record the project.
– How to record a presentation?
You can use Zoom (free) to record your presentation – See instructions
You can use OBS Studio (free) to record your presentation – See instructions
You can use any other recording software program.
Do NOT use a voiceover feature on PPT slides. Also, do NOT submit the whole video file. I won’t accept a submission that does not follow the instruction.
– You have three options to submit your presentation.
1, Upload the presentation recording on YouTube and share the link with me with the “Unlisted” option. See the instruction about how to choose “Unlisted” under Visibility and share the link with specific people.
2. Upload the presentation recording on Dropbox and share the link with me.
3. Upload the presentation recording on Google Drive and share the link with me.
Again, do NOT submit the PPT slides with voiceover NOR the whole video file.
– The deadline for the final oral presentation.
Tips:
Think wisely about what to add and what not to add to your oral presentation. It is nearly impossible to turn all information in a written paper into an oral presentation.
Don’t spend too much time on slide style. Your slides don’t have to be super fancy. As long as they are professional and visually concise, you are good.
Instead, spend more time practicing your narration. Do not simply read the slides. Speak comfortably and confidently. Time your presentation to make sure that it is under 10 minutes.
