Introduction:
In the early days of Psychology, learning (the study of behavior), took Psychology out of the study of mystics, and into the college of sciences. We found out a few things about learnings in doing so:
We learn which stimuli in our environment to pay attention to through Classical Conditioning
We learn which behavior to produce through trial and error using Operant Conditioning
We learn faster and through concepts by using Observational Learning.
Now consider the following:
What are the basic principles of learning?
What are some real examples of Reinforcement (+ and – ) and punishment (+ and -) in your life.
Explain how we learn by observing and what are the reinforcements?
How doe the principles of learning (Stimulus associations) really program us to be conscious?
