OVERVIEW
For this assignment, you will create a formal proposal and presentation for the implementation of
a new student affairs initiative centered on a specific policy. All recommendations must be based
on best practices and policies derived from scholarly research.
INSTRUCTIONS
Your completed proposal must include the following elements:
1. A one-page executive summary in BLUF (bottom line up front) format.
2. A one-page comprehensive communication plan (to include training).
3. A full policy statement to cover implementation, enforcement, and all parameters.
4. A self-narrated PowerPoint presentation designed to span 12-15 minutes. The final slide
should include your references (5 minimum) in current APA format.
*Note: if you are unable to use the “record audio” feature within PowerPoint due to a
device limitation, you may type your intended text into the “notes” section as an
alternative.
There is not a minimum slide requirement, however, the presentation portion must cover all
details necessary to successfully implement a major student affairs policy including, but not
limited to, the following:

Governing policy
Goal
Approach
Communication
Enforcement
Buy-in
Support
Evaluation
A minimum of five scholarly sources (including your textbook) must be used, and should include
