The purpose of this assignment is to analyze your life experiences through a sociological lens. We are continually influenced by society and our experiences in the social world. This assignment will require you to reflect on those experiences, discuss how society has influenced your life, and examine specific sociological concepts in greater detail.
To complete this project, you will be asked to choose specific topics from sociolgy (e.g., race, ethnicity, gender, social class) and you will write or present an autobiographical based on your life. This does not have to include your whole life story, rather specific moments that were influenced by society. Be specific and use examples for each sociological concept that you include in the assignment. The goal is to make connections between personal experiences and social issues.

• An introduction that provides a brief overview of your life.
• Two sociological concepts (e.g., class, race, ethnicity, family, socialization).
o Include specific examples from your life, an antidote or story, that explains how the sociological concepts shaped your life.
• Make connections between your life experiences and sociology/social issues
o Explain why sociology is important to your individual life and society as a whole. Why does this sociology matter? What is the impact of sociology to you and society? Use social issues that align with your selected concepts to explain this.
• A conclusion that wraps up your autobiography

• The introduction should be about 1 pages long.
• The two sociological concepts (e.g., class, race, ethnicity, family, socialization) should each be about 2 pages long. Make sure each concept is clearly stated.
• The section that connections your life experiences to sociology and social issues should be about 1 large paragraph in length.
• The conclusion should be about 1 paragraph in length
