Using what you have learned in Module 1 and your research for Module 1 Discussion 2: My Research, consider how to best explain cancer to a non-medical person.
Create a letter to Dad or his family about the process of cancer. The letter should be 300-600 words. Specifically, in your letter, be sure to address the following:
Describe the three most common types of skin cancer and the layers of skin involved with each.
Explain how DNA and mitosis are involved with development of cancer, and how cancer cells behave differently from normal cells.
Express how the symptoms mentioned in this case demonstrate the connection between anatomy (structure) and physiology (function).
Please use clear language and terms in your letter that could be understood by someone who does not have an extensive medical or science background.
